Kids club for children from 3 to 6 years old

The Club des Champions in La Clusaz is a fantastic option for families looking for a practical childcare solution. Situated in the heart of the village the Club takes children from the age of three to six years. The children will spend their day taking part in a number of fun indoor and outdoor activities.

What do the kids get up to?

Indoor activities (morning)

In the morning at the Club des Champions the children spend their time at the club playing games and doing arts and crafts.

Outdoor activities: (afternoon)

In the afternoon the kids head on out to have fun in the snow! Activities include snowman and igloo building, sledging and snowshoe walks.

Things to bring

  • Mittens joined with a thin cord inside the sleeves of the jacket
  • Fur-lined and waterproof boots with the name of your child on them
  • A pair of light trousers or leggings for the indoor activities
  • Indoor shoes or slippers
  • Sun glasses or goggles
  • A warm hat

Skiing (optional extra)

It is possible to book ski lessons for the children and the nannies will take the children to their lessons and pick them up afterwards. This option is only possible if lessons are booked with the ESF La Clusaz. For booking information visit the ESF La Clusaz website.

Depending on the age of the child there are three options available:

Children from 3 to 5 years old: ski initiation

    • 1 hour at the “Kinder Garden” with ESF instructors.
    • These lessons can be booked and paid for upon arrival at the Club des Champions

Children from 4 to 5 years old: Group lessons ‘Tiskieurs’

    • 2.5 hours lessons
    • Only available for children who stay the half-day morning with lunch or afternoon with lunch at the Club des Champions
    • Start times vary between high and low season

Children from 5 to 6 years old: Group lessons ‘Skieurs’

    • 2.5 hour lessons
    • Only available for children who stay the half-day morning with lunch or afternoon with lunch at the Club des Champions
    • Start times vary throughout the season

Necessary things to bring

  • Ski clothes
  • Ski equipment including helmet – hire is not available at the club so must be organised independently
    • Please note that the Club does not store ski equipment
  • Lift pass – not required for ski-initiation


To reserve a place for your child at the Club des Champions it is necessary to call or email the Club des Sports (contact details found at the top of this article*). The staff speak English and are used to English enquiries. A form will be sent to you which must be filled in and returned to the following address:

Prices are variable depending on the season. To see up to date prices for the period that you are looking for please visit the Club des Champions website. Please note that the website exists in French with only small sections translated into English. However, the majority of the team at the Club des Sports and the Club des Champions speak English.


Payment must be made in advance to secure your child’s place at the Club des Champions. Payment can be made by cheque, bank transfer or card payment. Payment details for cheque and bank transfer are detailed on the booking form. Card payments can be made over the phone only.


  • The child must be potty trained


In France it is obligatory for your child to be vaccinated before they can attend a public crèche. Please note all vaccinations your child has received on the booking form and supply a photocopy of your child’s Vaccination Record. Required vaccinations are as follows:

  • Diphtheria
  • Tetanus
  • Poliomyelitis

Vaccinations must have been received before the age of 18 months.


In the case of a contagious illness (gastroenteritis, conjunctivitis, viral infection) the child will not be accepted at the Club des Champions until the illness has cleared. However, if the child has a common cold they will be accepted.


You can apply for a reimbursement for cancellation due to illness if the cancellation is made more than five days before the start date. A medical certificate and proof of stay must be provided.
